Trellis Patron, Jim McColl, MBE gives a Master Class, conference 2019

It’s nearly that time of year again, when from all over the UK, people interested in therapeutic gardening make their way to Perth for the Trellis Conference 2020. We expect to welcome over 150 delegates this year for our 14th annual event at The Bield at Blackruthven. Book here. The conference brings together seasoned practitioners, people who have benefitted from therapeutic gardening and those who are just starting out, perhaps with a great project idea but no plot or funding as yet. They come to learn, share ideas with like-minded people and soak up some inspiration. Delegates go back home with new confidence, skills, ideas and a list full of friendly contacts. All of these help practitioners up the ante at therapeutic gardening projects across the land, leading to ever higher standards, more finely tuned programmes and new ways to maximise the benefits of gardening for participants. .

“Coming to a Trellis conference a few years ago inspired me to become involved in community gardening and all the pleasure it can give - and transformed my life after retirement.”

“I’m not sure how the Trellis team managed it but you managed to create a programme where there was simply time for everything- moving and funny stories about the therapeutic benefits of gardening, practice based and practical workshops, networking and at least three cups of tea! It’s as if time stood still. What more could one ask for?”
